Description
This king of the hill map is based off of the popular PC horror game: SCP 087B, (also known as corridor/hallways/stairwell/jump-scare simulator 2012.) SCP 087B is a game loosely based off of an article on an ARG wiki. Said article describing a hellish and dangerous stairway that never ends and contains a monster more-or-less of unimaginable terror.
The map contains a few adjustments versus the original game in favour of a better gameplay experience in TF2. The main difference is that the fog isn’t as think. The fog in this map is just thick enough that it becomes 100% opaque slightly out of the range of a sentry gun; this is the most reasonable fog possible in order to not make sentry guns overpowered.
The map also contains a few other ‘fun’ (horrifying fun) features. Every time a new round is initiated the maps will randomise the play-space. Basically random paths are selected. So wile one round players might get used to a certain layout and path to the point, the next they’ll be thrown for a loop and have to find a new way (in possibly a whole new section of the map) back to the point. This makes for some freaky situations, especially if the player is unaware that the map does this and adds replayability.
Another thing worth noting is that there is a monster in this map. Similar to the ghost on harvest_event, this map has a monster that walks the hallways. If a player gets too close they’re… Well… You’ll find out. The monster looks sort of like a black cylinder. It’s shapeless and shrouded in black smoke. The philosophy behind having a monster like this is that a person’s imagination is way more effective at scaring said person then a monster that you can see and familiarize with. No matter how freaky and bloody a monster is, you’ll eventually see it as a friendly face. Not this monster.

*Note: this map is not scary. It’s impossible to be scary in TF2. If not alone on this map, any fear-related mood that arises will be banished as soon as ‘need a dispenser here' is spammed by a scout.
