He has summoned you to his apartment to help him retrieve a special, and very forbidden artifact through unknown means and for unknown reasons. Sounds easy enough. What could possibly go wrong?Map InfoThis is a SINGLEPLAYER introduction map for Void Venture, which was planned to be a campaign of other maps that never got developed, and would've provided a singleplayer adventure-game-type experience with a Scream Fortress coating, but built completely in Team Fortress 2.This prologue map was the only piece of work to be realized. It CANNOT be played with multiple people. It is built to be played by yourself on a local offline server. It is a map that tells a basic story and sets the stage for more Void Venture content which would've been strung together as it released. As such, this map has a distinct beginning and end to it, with scripted scenes, sequences, and small interactive mechanics designed to introduce the player to basic platforming, and using the E key to interact with things, rather than call for medic.Gamebanana is now the most recent version!The original TF2Maps post for this project seems to have a broken download button now, and I cannot access my old account anymore since they seem to have altered how they handle accounts linked through steam and thus I cannot remedy it on my end. This will now be the official release page for this project. I took the liberty of fixing an old bug that caused the player to sometimes fire their weapon before pulling out their melee right at the start of the map since I was digging back into the files anyway. Relation disclaimer!This is unrelated to the map koth_viaduct_voidventure that is also released here on gamebanana by me on an account I no longer have access to. The names are the same, the projects are separate. koth_viaduct_voidventure_v2 is a map that is multiplayer-compatible and has adventure-progression elements in it (and is also technically singleplayer-compatible if you cheat or use the correct classes/loadouts), so it is similar in its contents and concepts, but just to avoid confusion, no, they are not related and were never going to be tied together.
