Did you really enjoy the koth_viaduct_event underworld segment?Had you wished more than anything there was more to do down there? Then this is the map for you!With what was countless issues and quick-fixes and patches and content polishing/updating from all the updates of tf2 that came out while this map was in development, I'm finally proud to present (and now, 2 years later, finally a v2 to fix some small issues caused by past tf2 updates)KOTH_VIADUCT_VOIDVENTUREIt is essentially koth_viaduct_event but with a highly expanded underworld, so much so that the whole point of the map is to venture down and see how many islands you can reach in the underworld! This is sort of a cooperative adventure-esque map, where you have opportunities to use different classes abilities in conjunction with some others to be able to best traverse the underworld and accomplish triggered/scripted map-side objectives to be able to see all the new content I've spent perhaps over 500+ hours developing. As a result, for v2 of this map, red team has been essentially disabled, and only blu is playable, as there's essentially nothing worth competing/fighting over in the map anymore. Not even the capture point. ---Main Map Contents---(1) 4 new islands to reach and explore! -Rivalry Island: A medium sized island with two houses on either edge where the Mann brothers are said to reside (before the events of helltower), as well as a damp cave beneath at the back where a dormant raft lay waiting for you to find its 4 hidden eyeballs throughout previous islands, which will lift the raft across the void and carry you onwards! -Pumpkin Patch: A small sized island with a collection of pumpkins, a scarecrow, a wrap-around gate, and working gate doors! -Merasmus' Island: (featured in preview image) A large sized island where Merasmus' Tower resides, as well as various outer decorations such as a ghost-cow pen, abyssal shrine, pumpkin patch of its own, board walk, and the massive skull of a long-defeated legendary void beast called the Lacunataur (La-kyoon-uh-taur), still clinging to its remnants of eternal magic as it defends its only possession. -Skeleton Island: A medium sized island shaped like a symmetrical arena with various tombstones scattered across it where skeletons will arise from in greater and greater numbers the longer you stay unwelcome. If you manage to defeat all 5 waves of the relentless skeleton hordes, you are rewarded with the Arcane Key. (If you're playing solo, turn sv_cheats to 1 and type "tf_max_active_zombie 80" into console for a real challenge!) (2) A screen-text scripted immobile character that will constantly give you hints about what to do and where to go whenever you get stuck. Just step near him for the most recent hint!(3) A monstrous skeleton-fish lurking in the waters of the void.(4) 2 magical scrolls somewhere in Merasmus' Tower that unlock spellbook spawns throughout the rest of the underworld islands. (5) A busted up center-gate up in the overworld to allow any and all players to quickly access the void via the same teleport they would were Monoculous still haunting the realm. (6) A few hidden secrets and easter eggs to reward the patient/adventurous explorers via special content/abilities. -Various sounds that play randomly in Merasmus' Tower if you wait around in certain areas-2 secret ghost transformations, which transform the player that discovers them into a ghost in the underworld. 1 transformation acts as a medic ghost, healing all teammates nearby. The other acts as an antagonizing ghost, damaging all players that are directly beside the ghost. Obviously, the harmful ghost is much harder to find, and both can only be acquired once in the map. (7) An intense updraft that grabs and sucks up any and all whom go too high in the underworld. (Designed to prevent rocket/sticky jumpers from reaching further points in the map than intended to be unlocked via map content means)(8) 4 commands executed serverside via a point_servercommand entity:mp_teams_unbalance_limit 0mp_auto_teambalance 0(To allow all players to join team BLU)mp_disable_respawn_times 1(To allow short respawn time)sv_gravity 800(To ensure the gravity is default in case it was altered by a server plugin, as the underworld has been meticulously triggered with default gravity in mind to prevent players from easily sticky/rocket jumping ahead and skipping map content)YOU MUST HAVE THE COMMAND "SV_ALLOW_POINT_SERVERCOMMAND" SET TO "ALWAYS" OR THE ABOVE SERVERSIDE SETTINGS WILL NOT FUNCTION, RESULTING IN HALF THE PLAYERS IN THE SERVER FORCED ON TO RED, WHICH CAUSES THEM TO INSTANTLY DIE UPON SPAWNING FOR BEING ON THE INCORRECT TEAM(If you're playing solo, the above does not apply to you and you may leave sv_allow_point_servercommand to its default option, which is "official") Edit 11/19/2017: Updated the map to v2 (finally).
