MCRTX Lockdown

Minecraft Retexture of HL2DM Lockdown map.This project took a different angle at Minecraft’s visual aesthetic from my previous project MC Island. Instead of importing a blocky-style Minecraft map I’ve opted for Retexturing of classic Lockdown map from Half-Life 2: Deathmatch.This joyful process has proven to be repeated by me a number of times in the next projects. I’ve even given this process a name MCRTX standing for… you probably guessed it: Minecraft Retexture. It was quickly followed by my next Minecraft Retexture of DM Steamlab map.It was also my first map compiled with HDR (High Dynamic Range lighting) – giving the player an illusion of an eye being getting used to change in lighting conditions of its surroundings.Those 2 maps: Lockdown and Steamlab were in my future creative endeavors going in pair – subsequently undergoing the same visual processes like updating them with High Dynamic Range Lighting, or giving them High-Definition Textures.Source version of Minecraft textures used in this map created by Marca.Minecraftia font used in this project was created by Andrew Tyler.This is a Minecraft Retexture Project made by JzC in 2014.You can find more of my projects and edits on my website: 3Dism.
