This work of art is a meta-ironic arthouse project—a piece of irony regarding the war and the situation as a whole—that should not be taken seriously by any of the parties involved. The author does not support military aggression. While the project is not intended to offend anyone, it may certainly provoke negative emotions among an unprepared audience.I wanted to create a map based on the war in Ukraine, but executing something like that using the GoldSrc engine and *Counter-Strike* mechanics would have been extremely difficult; the engine struggles with open-world environments and has strict technical limitations. Then, as a joke, I thought that the only operation that could actually be ported to *Counter-Strike* was "Operation Pipe" (the so-called assault on the pipeline near Sudzha). That’s when it hit me: total immersion. I would create a map where you have to crawl through a pipe for hours. That was the kind of heavy-handed trolling I initially planned. But later, I realized I could offer the world something more.Extensive preparation went into this. I watched hundreds of hours of interrogations and reconstructed the minutest historical details—from the soldier who shot himself inside the pipe to the assault on scooters. I recreated a four-kilometer section of the pipeline, as well as the airstrike on the factory in Sudzha.I’ve always wondered what it feels like for a person heading into a "meat-grinder" assault. On this map, you can experience all the "joys" of war: drive a tank, get crushed by a tank, be torn apart by mortar fire, launch a frontal assault against machine guns, get shot by a sniper, be blown up by a FAB bomb, suffocate inside the pipe, step on a landmine or simply become a mayonnaise connoisseur. I believe every Russian will appreciate this map—after all, who in Russia would say they don't like the SVO (Special Military Operation)? This map offers a truly unique experience that every inhabitant of the planet should try. A tremendous amount of work has gone into it.
