Made for the faceit and mapcore exotic places mapping competition. The Story A group of terrorists have procured an old naval transport and set sail for the Pacific. Located on an obscured island sits a 15th century Spanish mission converted into a military research base. The terrorists plan to sabotage a long range nuclear payload project being developed on the island. Successful demolition of the short range missile currently located in the wind tunnel, or the z35 stealth fighter designed to carry the payload located in it's hanger would be enough to scrap the project. Designed for Casual Yeah I know, the map is big, but that's by design. When I started playing the game and lacked the skills, know-how and confidence to que for competitive. I would usually play the much more beginner friendly casual game mode. I found that when the maps designed for 5v5 competitive are shifted over to 10v10 casual they transition it's great. So I set out to make a beginner friendly map specifically designed for casual. Firstly, I made it much larger to stop crowing and clustering chaos in 10v10. Mid and each bomb have multiple encounter opportunities, each with a equal ratio of risk to reward. I also increased the bomb detonation time to always give CTs the opportunity to defuse, no matter where located on the map. I also tried to keep the layout fairly simple, flat and easy to learn. Maintaining the classic "clover" desigm that will help new players transfer over to Dust2 and other similar maps. Lastly I made grenade throws obvious and simple to help players practice. I understand these gameplay elements aren't going to be great for competitive, but I figure that if you have read this far you might as well try it out. Known issues- could always use more detail upper-mid remains untested, could be awesome or horrible optimization is far from perfect needs more cubemaps (in on that one) HDR looks really bad, so i left it off for now Special thanks to Tophattwaffle for his awesome texture packs!
