I recently started this semi-large project called "Old but gold" after talking with a friend about our personal all-time favorite Counter-Strike maps. The "old but gold" project is essentially about porting, reworking, and remastering maps which have brought great experiences and many fond memories to people. The idea is to re-create the maps but without changing the key elements too much from the originals in the process. My friends and I used to love playing fy_pool_day on a WCS (Warcraft-Source) server back during Counter-Strike: Source's peak and for those interested you can now download the WCS mod for CS:GO here: https://discord.com/invite/zYASbKz. This map uses buyzones instead of weapons on the ground. Some walls' positionings have been adjusted for balancing purposes. I've tried to use the best parts from Squall's original map and Leplubodeslapin CS:GO version of the map I realize re-doing old classics is a bold and dangerous move as they can never be as good as the originals. I don't expect this to be better than or on par with the classic poolday map. But hopefully, this map can bring up some of the fond memories that people may have, and maybe also create some good new ones. I hope you will enjoy playing the map as much as I enjoyed creating it!
