Add and subtract bots until you can run at a fun pace. [hr][/hr] [h1]INTRO[/h1] You are about to embark upon the Great Crusade, toward which we have striven these many months. The eyes of the world are upon you. The hopes and prayers of liberty-loving people everywhere march with you. In company with our brave Allies and brothers-in-arms on other Fronts, you will bring about the destruction of the German war machine, the elimination of Nazi tyranny over the oppressed peoples of Europe, and security for ourselves in a free world. Your task will not be an easy one. Your enemy is well trained, well equipped and battle hardened. He will fight savagely. But this is the year 1944 ! Much has happened since the Nazi triumphs of 1940-41. The United Nations have inflicted upon the Germans great defeats, in open battle, man-to-man. Our air offensive has seriously reduced their strength in the air and their capacity to wage war on the ground. Our Home Fronts have given us an superiority in weapons and munitions of war, and placed at our disposal great reserves of trained fighting men. The tide has turned! Eisenhower[/i] [hr][/hr] [h1]Welcome to cp_normandy_dday![/h1] [i]This is a respawn-based, time-controlled, control-point game[/i]. First I will outline the game mechanics, then I will cover the map specifics, then I will cover the minute mechanics. [hr][/hr] The CTs are the Allies, while the Ts are the Nazis. In the normal setting, there are about 10 Allies and 5 Nazis, but [b]you can add and subtract to fit your hardware[/b]. [i][b](Use console commands bot_add and bot_kick!)[/b][/i] The Allies have [b]7 minutes to capture the point at the top of the beach[/b], which is the inside of the bunker marked by the glowing flagpole. All you need to do is stand inside, and the flag will rise. The more Allies in the bunker, the faster the flag will rise. Once the flag reaches the top, the Allies will gain 1 point, and the Nazis will all respawn. You must kill all of the Nazis to gain your second point. [b]CTs will respawn in waves every 15 seconds and Ts will respawn in waves every 1 minute[/b]. On the Allies' first spawn, they will spawn inside of the landing boats, which will start at the press ([use]) of the control buttons or after a small amount of time. When the boat reaches the shore, the door will open. After their first spawn, the Allies will spawn in the water. They must climb the beach and reach the bunker. The Nazis will spawn in 3 areas up the beach, which will each have their own benefits. [b][u][i]Press [use] on a crate marked with a gun to equip that gun. You will learn the spots for better guns around the map. Press [use] on the ammo supplies to refill your ammo[/i][/u][/b]. Once 7 minutes pass, the Nazis will gain 2 points. [hr][/hr] [h2]COOL MECHANICS[/h2] There are 3 mounted machine guns, [b][u][i]which are accessible by [use] and moving with WASD[/i][/u][/b]. They get less accurate the farther you go, and they deal light area damage. [b][u]The cannon inside the cannon bunker IS USABLE[/u][/b]. You must press [use] inside on the control pad, and you will be able to control in a similar manner. The cannon deals large area damage. Be careful to not get stuck! Both machine guns and cannon are destroyable, but you will have to find their weak spot. There are also mortar and artillery cannons, which are both usable. Press [use] on either to shoot them, and they each have a cooldown time. [b][u]Find the red button on the beach and press to gain artillery support from the battleship for the Allies.[/u][/b] It can only be used once per round. Careful, you may hurt your teammates if they have made it up the beach! Barbed wire slows and deals damage. The Allies have two main tricks, their battleship support and molotovs. [b][u]Molotovs can be used to clear out bunkers, the beach cannon, or to break the artillery cannons.[/u][/b] They are your best friend!
