A friend and I were talking about all-time favorite maps that we used to play for hours on end, and after discussing a bit back and forth I decided to start on a semi-large project; old but gold. The "old but gold" project is essentially about porting, reworking, and remastering maps which have brought great experiences and many fond memories to people. The idea is to re-create the maps but without changing the key elements of them in the process. You cannot talk about great old maps without bringing up the legendary fy_poolparty. So here is my take on the classic pool party map, now with a bit of a tropical theme. I realize re-doing old classics is a bold and dangerous move as they can never be as good as the originals. I don't expect this to be better than or on par with the classic poolparty map. But hopefully, this map can bring up some of the fond memories that people may have, and maybe also create some good new ones. I hope you will enjoy playing the map as much as I enjoyed creating it!
