Description
Hi everyone!
This is an update on my current inferno/nuke map. This time i will provide you some more info then in my last uplaods.
This is a WORK IN PROGRESS. None of the visuals, settings or builds are finished. I am making this map truly out of fun playing wiht the CSGO Hammer Editor. With now 150+ hours in playing and learning I can say i now have a good understanding of handling operations in the editor and making changes efficient and the way they are supposed to be. Due to early wrong development I will have to optimize and rebuild many things in my map. My current state of learning is dealing wiht decals, wires and import my own created designs. So you see, there is still much to be done :D
To the story of the map:
The map idea is to combine the best parts of the maps de_inferno and de_nuke. I am going for a town somewhere in italy near de_infenros location, where the citizens are forced to live next to some kind of facility. I don't like the idea of having nuclear facilietes, because i think the idea is some kind of outplayed. So im still looking for a reasonable answer what the facility is really doing, or at least what secrets are there in storage. Like i said, im looking at the map and try to fill the life and the needs the citizens could have - how corrupt the company can be and what devilish operation is going on. All in all just a few random thought which are fitting step by step in the map with props, locations and visuals i am currently doing in photoshop.
also the map needs to have a name. A suggestion from user guyblue gaming | pvpro.com was to name it "de_nuclear" to keep the italian charafcter in the name. But still didnt choose anythiing at all. It's all somehow created in the working progress and the little stories i am rebuilding in parts of the map.
Newest changes:
- Changed T-Entrance to A to a lobby-hut-like entrance which now includes the vent
- Added a house next to hut to connect T-house with a bridge and give middle more variation. Added some windows to the back of the house to have a anti-cat for the terrorists
- Changed ramp/pit on A side to a train-cargo-transit to avoid direct peak to window from underheaven
- Added some decals and boxes on A side
- Switched the A long section to a trailer parking lot instead of having containers blocking the end
- Added some houses and decoration to CT spawn
- Changed the crain position to avoid shadow problems
- Added Rooms in connector
Feel free to test the map and give some feedback, i am thankful for anyone helping creating a perfect map.
Be aware of clipping problems and unfinished walls or wrong set objects ;)
