de_arion

A map based in a small town. Final version released! I am dedicating this map to my best friend, Arikán Balázs. The map's name is a tribute to her. Without them, I wouldn't be able to finish this map. The long story of de_arion started with my second map, de_pinecastle and my third map, de_fraction (the old one), at Fall 2017. Later, in April 2018 I came up with the idea of combining the A site of Fraction and the B site of Pinecastle (de_hart at that time). The problem aesthetically was that the map was suffering from sparity-syndrome, as the parent maps had very different themes. Gameplay-wise it was really small and the connecting pathways sucked. Middle was terrible. But the bombsites' layout had potential. I realised that potential later that year. Until then I learned a lot about map design. I made a fresh map with a middle that seems to be my best one so far. The people who played it enjoyed it a lot. For those people I want to say thank you again.
